在21世紀的今天，作為最綠色節能的光源LED已經正在取代傳統光源，而成為照明用具的主角。除了節能考慮，環保要求也是本世紀重點之一，LED燈是否使用了環保材料？材料對人身及環境是否有危害？這又是我們面臨的另一大課題。

有害物質的限制

a. 歐盟RoHS指令

EU: Directive 2011/65/EU of the European Parliament and of theCouncil of 8 June 2011 on the Restriction of the use of Certain

Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic equipment, i.e. EURoHS directive

b. 美國加利福尼亞州RoHS法規

US California: Restrictions on the use of Certain HazardousSubstances in Electronic Devices, i.e. California RoHS, Health and

Safety Code section 25214.9-25214.10.2

c. 美國聯邦RoHS法案

US: Environmental Design of Electrical Equipment (EDEE) Act, i.e. USRoHS H.R.2420

以上法案，均管控制成LED燈中的各種均質材料中如下六種受限制使用的物質的含量：

鉛：1000ppm， 鎘：100ppm， 汞：1000ppm， 六價鉻：1000ppm， 多溴聯苯：1000ppm， 多溴聯苯醚：1000ppm

歐盟RoHS建議優先四種物質

a. 三種鄰苯二甲酸酯 3 Phthalates (BBP, DBP and DEHP)

b. 六溴環十二烷 HBCDD

歐盟化學品注冊，評估，授權及限制使用法規
